Escudero was born in Tucson, Arizona. When she graduated from high school, her family moved to Mexico City, Mexico. There she studied for a full year at the renowned San Carlos Art Institute, where artists such as Siqueiros and Diego Rivera attended.
Escudero later moved to Chicago, Illinois, and lived there for 1-1/2 years. She then returned to Mexico City where she met her husband, Jose, and had one child, named Montserrat. While in Mexico, she had the opportunity to travel throughout the country, live with various indigenous families, frequent the archaeological sites, and in general, study the culture. In 1977, Escudero and family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. All of this, including meeting her husband, proved to be an enriching experience for both her life and her art.
During Escudero’s eleven year residence in Phoenix, she studied, and graduated in 1984 from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Magna Cum Laude.
In 1988 she relocated to Boston for three years, and decided to move back to Phoenix in 1991. She is currently residing in Pennsylvania.
Escudero has progressively continued to pursue her artistic career by exhibiting at various galleries, museums, national and international juried shows.
